Scenes from the film: “The Housekeeper”
I first read the script for “The Housekeeper,” written and directed by Stuart Altman, in 2019. Having been postponed twice due to the pandemic, we were hopeful that when a window opened up in 2021, we’d get our opportunity to make a great film and work of art. The film is in post-production, and all involved are highly anticipating the release.
As a production designer, my job is to visually interpret the script, which includes selecting the ideal location for sharing our story. The right location can help make a good film great. Fortunately for us, we found the perfect property in the historic Forest Glen area of Youngstown, Ohio.
